Airbnb’s executive training program seeks to “amplify” each employee’s natural abilities through professional tools and workshops. Their Employee Experience Department came to us with this special project to help them brand Amplify in a way that reflected the progressive and youthful nature of Airbnb’s corporate culture.
Taking inspiration from science textbooks and scout badges, we created a brand that layers abstract illustrations over typography, and uses a set of icons to mark advancement in the modules that make up the program. Working with illustrator Chris Delorenzo, we created a group of drawings that were applied on a silkscreened poster, binders, and stickers for the program “homework”, a robust Keynote template for in-house classes and presentations, and a set of whimsical animations to explain and enliven each module.
